In this tutorial, we will tell you about the View Tab of MS Word. You can activate the View Tab of MS Word by pressing Alt + P from the keyboard. Or you can also use it by mouse.

The View Tab is divided into several groups. Each group has commands related to a specific task. You can use these commands by pressing the mouse. Below we will tell you how many groups are there in the View Tab? And what is the function of the commands available in each group.

There are total 5 groups in the View Tab. You can see them in the screen shot shown above. The names of these groups are Document Views, Show/Hide, Zoom, Window and Macros respectively. Now you have become familiar with the Groups of View Tab. Let us now know the work of each group.

Document Views In MS Word

The Document Views Group contains commands related to viewing the document in different styles. Through these, you can view a Word document in different ways in MS Word itself before printing or publishing it. There are 5 types of Document Views available in Document Views. In Print Layout the document is shown in Print Layout View. In this, the document will show as after being printed. That kind of document appears. That’s why it is called Print Layout. In Full Screen Reading View, the document is shown on the entire computer screen.

Side Space and Tabs etc. remain hidden in this view. Side Space is not visible in Web Layout View. And the document looks like a webpage. The entire document starts showing in a single page. In Outline View, the entire document appears as an outline. Paragraphs available in the document appear as a list. And in Draft View, the document appears like a draft. With this view you can edit the document quickly. And you do not even see Header and Footer in Draft.

Show/Hide In MS Word

There are many tools related to the document in Show / Hide Group. In this you will find mainly 5 tools. The first tool is Ruler, which is enabled by clicking on the box next to it. On enabling it, Ruler is installed in the document. With which you can see and change the margins of the document. The second tool is the Document Map. On enabling it, the Document Map is shown on the left side of the MS Word window. The third tool is the Grid line in it. It can be used while inserting objects in a Word document. On enabling this, the entire page is divided into grid lines.

The fourth tool is Thumbnails. Whatever is like a Document Map. After enabling it, all the pages available in the document are shown on the left side of the Word window. With this you can go to any page. When you click on any page available in Thumbnails. So the Cursor reaches the beginning of that page. And the last tool is the Message Bar. It is used in Word to alert the user to potential dangers. If MS Office finds any potential threat in your content. So it shows us the message in Automatic Word Window.

Zoom In MS Word

Commands available in the Zoom Group are used to view the page at different zoom levels. Through the commands available in it, you can see the documents by enlarging or shrinking them according to you. Or you can also see the document in Page Width. Apart from these, how many pages do you want to see in Word Window at once? You also control this from the Zoom Group itself. You can also view one page at a time or two pages at once according to your convenience.

Window In MS Word

If you work on more than one Word Document at a time. So Window Group is made for you only. Through this you control the Open Word Windows. You can go to another window only while working in one document. And from this you can go to any other document. Or you can show two documents on the desktop simultaneously.

Macros In MS Word

You are working on a project. And some information in it is going to be of use to you again and again. So the work of Macros starts from here. If you have to use any one information repeatedly. So by recording the macro of that information, once you write it, you can use that information without writing. We connect Macro with keyboard shortcut. And when we have to write that information. So we just have to press that shortcut from the keyboard. And all the information is written automatically.
