Tools for editing text in MS Word are set up in many places. These places are called tabs. You also know them by the name of Menu. In this lesson, we will tell you about ms word’s home tab.

You can also activate ms word’s home tab by pressing Alt+H from the keyboard. Or you can use it with the mouse. By Default in MS Word, the buttons of this tab remain open.

Ms Word’s Home Tab is divided into several groups. Each group has buttons/commands related to a particular task. You can use these buttons by pressing them with a mouse. Below we will tell you how many groups are there in the Home Tab? And what is the function of the tools available in each group.

There are a total of 5 groups in ms word’s home tab. You can see them in the screen shot shown above. The names of these groups are Clipboard, Font, Paragraph, Styles, and Editing, respectively. Now you have become familiar with the groups of the Home Tab. Now let’s know the work of each group.

Clipboard In Ms Word

Clipboard is a temporary storage. In which the data you have copied or cut is saved. Unless you paste this data somewhere. Until then, he remains in the data clipboard. When your system is shut down, the data saved in Clipboard is also automatically empty. So as long as your system is running. Until then, you can use the saved data in Clipboard.

Font In Ms Word

You do the formatting of the text through the commands available in the Font Group. In this, you have commands to change the Font Family, Font Size, Font Style, etc. Through these commands, you can format any MS Word document according to yourself.

Paragraph In Ms Word

This group contains commands related to setting the paragraph. Through these, you can set the indent of the paragraph, the space between the lines, the alignment, etc. Apart from this, you can also put border, shadings in list, sorting, text.

Styles In Ms Word

Through this command, styles are inserted in documents. The Styles command contains some created document styles. They already have fonts, font sizes, font colors, headings, etc. set.

Editing In Ms Word

The Edit Group has 3 commands. The Find Command searches for a particular word/sentence that is available in the MS Word Document. The Replace command allows you to type another word instead of any word available in the MS Word Document. You only have to change the word once, and instead of that word another word is written. And the text available in the document can be selected simultaneously through the Select Command.

MS Word Insert Tab

In this lesson, we will tell you about the Insert Tab of MS Word. You can activate the INSERT tab of MS Word by pressing Alt+N from the keyboard. Or you can use it with the mouse.

Insert Tab is divided into several groups. Each group has commands related to a particular task. You can use these commands by pressing them through the mouse. Below we will tell you how many groups are there in the Insert tab? And what is the function of the commands available in each group.

There are a total of 7 groups in the Insert tab. You can see them in the screen shot shown above. The names of these groups are Pages, Tables, Illustrations, Links, Header & Footer, Text, and Symbols, respectively. Now you have become familiar with the groups of Insert Tab. Now let’s know the work of each group.

Pages In Ms Word

There are three commands in the page group. Whose names are Cover Page, Blank Page, and Page Break, respectively. Cover pages are created in the document. The design of the cover page is created. From these, you are selected to choose the cover of your choice and insert it into the document. The blank page leaves the page blank instead of the cursor. And page break is used to start a new page from the current position.

Table In Ms Word

Table groups are used to insert tables into Word documents. This group has several options related to the table. You can also insert the created tables into the document. They are also called quick tables. Apart from this, you can also draw the table of your choice.

Illustrations In Ms Word

The commands available in the Illustrations group are used to insert graphics into Word documents. You can insert into different types of graphics documents through the commands available in the Illustrations group. You can use pictures, clip art, ready-made shapes, charts, etc. in documents.

Links In Ms Word

The commands available in the Links Group are used to insert links into Word documents. You can insert three types of links into Word documents. Simple links (hyperlinks), the second bookmark link, and the third link cross-reference.

Header & Footer In Ms Word

The commands available in the Header & Footer Group are used to insert headers and footer into documents. You can enter document title, date, page no, etc. as header & footer. You can also insert your own name in Header & Footer if you want.

Text In Ms Word

Different types of text can be inserted into Word documents through commands available in the text group. You can apply text styles like Text Box, WordArt, Drop Cap, etc. through these commands.

Symbols In Ms Word

There are two commands in the Symbols Group. The mathematical equations are inserted into Word documents by the first command equation. And the second command symbol is used to insert ready-made symbols.
