How to use Brush Tool in MS Paint Complete Information

Like the Pencil Tool, the Brush Tool is also used to create different types of drawings in Paint. Lines can be drawn in many sizes and effects with the Brush Tool.

Lines drawn with pencil are very simple. Because only the color of the pencil can be changed. But, you can draw very beautiful lines with the brush. Because different types of brushes are available for drawing in MS Paint.

How is the Brush Tool used? What type of drawings are made from it? How many types of Brushes are available in Paint? We have told about this in a step-by-step manner below. You can learn to use the Brush Tool by reading these steps. And you can make drawings for yourself.

Opening the Brush Tool and Creating a Drawing

1- To activate the Brush Tool, you have to open MS Paint first.

2- After opening it, click on the Down Arrow Icon under Brushes from the Home Tab.

3- After clicking here, different types of brushes will open in front of you. In these brushes, you get the following brushes for drawing.

Calligraphy Brush
Air Brush
Oil Brush
Crayon
Marker
Natural Pencil
Water Color Brush

The brush you want to use. Click on it. That Brush will be selected. To know whether the Brush has been selected or not? Look at your Mouse Pointer. Your Mouse Pointer has now turned into a Brush.

4- Now you have to make something according to your choice in the Drawing Area of MS Paint. To draw, drag it while pressing the Left Click of your mouse. The way you drag the mouse, the same type of drawing will be made.

Changing Brush Size

You can use Brushes in different sizes. If you have to draw a line with a brush of lesser thickness (Width). So choose less brush thickness. And if you want to draw a thicker line, then use a brush of more thickness. To change the size of the brush, we have told below.

1- To change the size of the brush, first click on the Down Arrow of Size. You can see it below.

2- On clicking the Down Arrow, lines of different sizes will open in front of you. From here you can choose the thickness of the line according to the thickness of your choice. You will click on any thickness line. The same thickness will be that of the Brush.

3- You can also do the size of the brush through the keyboard. To increase the thickness of the Brush, press + (Plus) along with Ctrl from the keyboard. And to decrease the thickness of the Brush, press – (Minus) along with Ctrl from the keyboard.

Change Brush Color

You can use any color brush as per your choice. You can use two color brushes simultaneously. Below we have told how the color of the brush is changed? And how are different colored drawings made with a brush?

1- To change the first color of the brush, first click on Color 1. After this click on the color of your choice from the Color Palette. By doing this your first color will change. You can use this color through Left Click. The first color is called the Foreground Color.

2- To change the background color of the brush, first click on Color 2. After this click on the color of your choice from the Color Palette. By doing this your background color will change. You can use this color by Right Click.
