Tally Create Delete Company Alter, Select Company Complete information To work in Tally, the user has to do mainly 4 tasks –

• Company Creation
• Ledger Creation
• Inventory Management
• Voucher Entry

When we want to manage any business, shop, organization or firm in Tally for the first time, first we have to create a company in the name of that firm. These companies are formed before starting work in tally.

Company Creation – Tally Create Delete Company

Follow the following steps to create a company in Tally –

1- Go to company info menu

2- Select the option of Create Company

3- Select Create Company option by going to shortcut key Alt + F1 or shortcut key Alt + F3.

On selecting this option, the window of company creation will open in front of us, in which fill the requested information and save it by pressing Ctrl + A button.

Details to be filled in company creation window

Fill Basic Data – Tally Create Delete Company

Directory – This field is already filled, this field contains the path of Tally, where Tally software is loaded. The cursor leaves this field and the company to be created is automatically stored in this directory.

Name – In this field, enter the name with which you want to create a company like Trisha Pvt Ltd.

Mailing Name – Enter the company’s mailing name in this field. Generally the name of the company is the mailing name.

Address – The full address of the company is entered in this field.

State – In this field the state is entered in the state in which your business is established.

Pin Code – In this field, enter the pin code of the place where the company is established.

Telephone Number – In this field enter the telephone number of the company.

E-mail Address – In this field enter the e-mail address of the company.

Website – Enter the company’s website in this field

Books and financial year details

Financial Year From – In this field enter the date of start of the financial year like – 01 – Apr – 2019

Books Beginning From – In this field enter the date of opening of Books of Accounts like – 01 – Apr – 2019 .

Security Control – If you want to activate the security system on the company, then yes this option and after doing this, enter the username and password in it.

Base Currency Information

All these fields are autofill, you can change as per your requirement.

Suffix symbol to amount?
Add space between amount and symbol?
Show amount in millions?
Number of decimal places
Word representing amount after decimal
Number of decimal places for amount in words

Now after filling all the information in the last, save the information by pressing Enter button or pressing Ctrl + A button.

Selecting Company in Tally – Tally Create Delete Company

Alter company in tally

If you want to make any changes in the already created company, then select the company in which you want to make changes by pressing the F1 key from the Gateway of Tally. After selecting the company, press Alt + F3 key, which will display the company info menu. From here select the Alter option. This will display the company alternation screen. After you make changes in it, save it.

Delete comapy in tally Company Delete

To delete any company, first select that company. Then select Alter option from the company info menu by pressing Alt + F3 keys. Select the company you want to delete and after selecting it use Alt + D keys. Due to which the selected company will be deleted.
