What is Computer Ports
Computer ports are that part of the hardware. By which external input and output devices are connected to the computer. Most of the ports are in the motherboard. Rest of the computers are installed in the cabinet.

- Power Connector – Here the power supply is connected to the computer. This port is in SMPS.
- Cooling Fan – This fan is meant to give cooling to the SMPS.
- Switch – This button is found in any SMPS which is used to turn Power On/Off.

- PS/2 Port – Keyboard and mouse are connected in these ports. These days they are rarely used.
- USB Port – This port is used a lot. Because nowadays all devices are USB enabled. Which are connected to the computer through USB ports.
- Parallel Port – Through this port the Printer and Scanner are connected to the computer.
- VGA Port – Monitor is connected through VGA Port.
- CPU Cooling Fan – The heat generated by the CPU is controlled by this fan.
- Ethernet Port – This port is also called LAN. Through this port the Internet is connected to the cable.
- Audio Jacks – Audio Jacks are used to connect audio devices.
