My computer:

Recycle bin:

The icon in the Windows vest is used to delete files. It stores the delete files which you can later retrieve.

My network places:

Through this you can see common folders and files available on your network.

Desktop:

This is the background of your screen.

Start Button:

It provides instant access to programs and files.

Quick launch toolbar:

Provides easy access to commonly used feature.

Taskbar:

The series of buttons at the bottom of the screen is called the Windows taskbar.

Clock:

It shows the current time.

Window:

A window is a rectangular area on the screen surrounded by a window frame with a title at the top. When you start a Windows key application, it also displays on its own window. After this, all the applications that appear will be displayed in another window.

Scrollbar:

The horizon on the box and the vertical bar is like an elevator in a Shaft. On clicking the bar, the screen starts moving in the desired direction, or when clicked on the box (elevator, thumb) it drags to the desired direction.(Windows XP 2021 Edition)

Title Bar:

It shows the name of the opened window.

Start windows

When you turn on your computer, Windows automatically turns on and the Windows desktop also appears.

Start button

As soon as you turn on the computer, the desktop will appear on the screen. You can access program files and other computer settings using the Start menu.

1 Clicking on the Start button will display the Start menu.

(a) This item starts your commonly used program.
(b) These items quickly take you to commonly used locations.
(c) With these items you can change computer settings, get help, find information and run programs.
(d) You can start recently used programs with these items.

2 Open the menu of programs by clicking the All Programs button if your desired item is not shown in the start menu.
The list of used programs comes on your computer.
A menu item containing a side arrow will show a second menu.

3 To see another menu, place the mouse point on the menu item with the side arrow.
A second menu will appear.

4 You can repeat the third step and continue to place the mouse pointer on the side arrow of the menu item – how long until the menu you use is displayed there.

5 Click on the item you want to display.
Click outside the menu area to close the Start menu without selecting any item.
The notepad window is displayed in this example.

A button appears on the task bar for the opened window.

Window move

If the window covers an item on the screen, you can move it to another location.

1 Place the mouse pointer on the title bar of the window you want to remove.
2 Drag and drag the mouse pointer where you want the window to be.
The window now reaches a new place.

Resize window Xp

You can easily change the size of the window displayed on your screen. You can increase or decrease the information displayed on the window by reducing its size.

1 Move the mouse pointer to the corner of the window whose size you want to change.
2 Drag the mouse until the window is the size you want.

Maximizing or minimizing windows

You can maximize the window to bring it to full screen. By doing this you can see the content of the window more

1 Click on the maximize button in the window.
You can maximize the window by double clicking on the title bar.
Now the window is almost surrounded by Sorry Sakreen.
If you are not using any window, you can temporarily minimize it and remove it from the screen.

1 Click on the minimize button of the window you want to minimize.
That window will become so small as a button on the window’s taskbar.
To show it again, click its button on the dance bar.

Closing the window Xp

When you are finished working on a window, you can close it and remove it from the screen.

1 Click the Close button on the upper right hand of the window you want to delete.
The window disappears from your screen.
Also the button on the taskbar bar disappears
