The Taskbar is a horizontal rectangular bar at the bottom of the Windows Desktop. It is not hidden because of Windows like Desktop. It is always Visible and Highlight, so it can be seen easily. (Microsoft Window 11 Taskbar)

The By Default Position of the Taskbar is Bottom Set. Which can also be changed to Top, Right, Left. And it can also be locked in one place. Its texture and appearance depend on the Windows OS version. Which may vary according to the version.

The Taskbar mainly consists of four parts. Which you can see in the image above.

Start Button

The first and main part on the Taskbar is the Start Button. Which is located in the lower left corner. It is also called Menu Button. Its texture also depends on the Windows version. It can be round, square, rectangular.

All Programs, Folders and Settings are accessed with the help of Start Button. From here you can find your favorite program and run it and make its desktop shortcut.

Taskbar Buttons or Middle Section

Apart from the icon of Pinned Items, currently open Programs, Files, Folders or other items also appear on the Taskbar.

Language Icon – This icon represents the language setting of Windows. Here the current language of the computer can be seen. And the Language Bar can also be customized. The Language Icon appears only when more than one Input Method is installed.

Upward Arrow Icon – This icon represents Hidden Items. Hidden Items can be seen by clicking on this Arrow.

Flag Icon – This icon shows messages coming from the operating system. Which users can see and solve by clicking on this icon.

Volume Icon – This icon shows Volume Setting. Volume can be adjusted by clicking on it.

Date and Time – The current date and time are shown at this place. Users can access Date and Time Setting by clicking on this icon.

Show Desktop Button

By clicking on this button, users go directly to the desktop. And all the open windows are minimized. By moving the mouse cursor on this button, the open windows become transparent. From which the desktop can be seen easily.

Pinning Buttons to the Taskbar

The button of any item on the taskbar can be pinned in two ways. That is, it can be imposed.

  • By Right Click
  • by Mouse Drag

Pinning Programs to Taskbar by Right Click

  • First of all, press the right click of the mouse on the item you want to pin to the taskbar.
  • By doing this a menu will open in front of you.
  • From here you have to click on the option of Pin to Taskbar from the available options.
  • Doing so will put that item on the Taskbar.

Pinning Programs to the Taskbar by Mouse Drag

  • To pin an item by Mouse Dragging, you must first press and hold Left Click on that item.
  • After this, grab that item and drag it to the Taskbar and release it.
  • By doing this, that item will be pinned on the Taskbar.

Unpinning Buttons on the Taskbar

  • To Unpin Pinned Buttons on the Taskbar, press Right Click on the button that you want to unpin.
  • By doing this a list of some options will open in front of you.
  • From here you have to click on “Unpin this program from taskbar”.
  • By doing this, that Item Button will be Unpin from the Taskbar.
