***How To Use Design Tab In MS PowerPoint***

In this lesson, we will tell you about the Design Tab of MS PowerPoint. You can activate the Design Tab of MS PowerPoint by pressing Alt + G from the keyboard. Or you can also use it by mouse.

The Design Tab is divided into several groups. Each group has commands related to a specific task. You can use these commands by pressing the mouse. Below we will tell you how many groups are there in the Design Tab? And what is the function of the commands available in each group.

Names and Functions of Groups in the Design Tab

There are total 3 groups in the Design Tab. You can see them in the screen shot shown above. The names of these groups are Page Setup, Themes, and Background respectively. Now you have become familiar with the Groups of the Design Tab. Let us now know the work of each group.

Page Setup In PowerPoint

The commands available in this group are used to setup the page of PowerPoint Presentations. In whatever paper size you want to make the slide. You can set it from here. And you can also set the margin of that page. Apart from this, you can also change the orientation of Presentation. It has two orientations. First, Portrait and second, Landscape Orient.

Themes In PowerPoint

As the name suggests. This group is used to use different themes in PowerPoint presentations. From here you can use any themes in your slides as per your choice. And you can also customize the Color, Fonts, Effects of any Theme according to you.

Background In PowerPoint

To change the background style in a particular theme through the Background command. You can use the background style of that particular theme according to your use. If you do not want Background for this Theme, then you can Hide Background Graphics.
