How to backup in tally

1- To take backup in Tally, first go to Gateway of Tally.
2- Now go to Company info.
3- After coming to company info, select the Backup option
4- As soon as you select the Backup option, the wizard of Backup Companies on Disk will be displayed.
5- Now we are seeing the Source and Destination, in which we have to select the place where we want to keep the backup we are taking under Destination. Remember Source means where to store your backup data of Tally.
6- Now you will see a list of companies created by you under Name of Company, from which you should select the company whose data you want to back up.
7- To restore in Tally, first go to Gateway of Tally.
8- Now go to Company info.
9- After coming to the company info, select the Restore option.
10- As soon as you select the Backup option, the Restore Companies wizard will be displayed.
11- Now we are seeing the Source and Destination, in which we have to give the path to the C drive of Tally Software to the backup being taken by us under Destin Now you will see a list of companies backed up by you under Name of Company, out of which select the company whose data you want to restore.
12- In this way we can do the work of Backup and Restore in Tally.ation like – C:\Users\Public\Tally.ERP9\Data has to be selected. And Source means where your Tally’s backup data is stored ie external device like pen drive, compact disc or your computer system store drive path has to be given. For example, if my backup data is present in the Data folder of E Drive, then for that I will write E:\data in this way in Source.
13- Now you will see a list of companies backed up by you under Name of Company, out of which select the company whose data you want to restore.
14- In this way we can do the work of Backup and Restore in Tally.
