RTF – What is RTF ?

The full name of RTF is Rich Text Format. It is a file format which was invented by Microsoft in 1980.

RTF is a text format used to transfer text files between different word processors.

In other words, “RTF is a document format that helps users share text files between different word processors.”

RTF is used by most word processors. This helps people share Word documents with people who do not use Word.

Many people use this format to transfer text document files from one computer to another.

Most word processors are able to read and write RTF files. Microsoft stopped updating RTF in 2008. But despite this, almost every operating system supports this format.

We can also add images in RTF file like – .jpg, and .png etc.

2- This format does not spread viruses due to which the performance of the system or device remains intact.

3- It supports all operating systems.

4- This format provides many facilities to the user.

2- RTF files cannot be compressed.

HTML Text – What is HTML text

The full name of HTML is HyperText Markup Language. It is a markup language that is used to create web pages.

In other words, “HTML is a markup language through which web applications are created. This language is also used to create websites.”

HTML text is made up of two elements, first plain text and second html tags. Therefore we can say that HTML text is made up of plain text and HTML tags.

There are many types of tags in HTML using which we can easily design a web page.

This language tells the web browser how to display the content present in the web page. In HTML we can create attractive and beautiful websites by using CSS.

In HTML we can add images, audio, video and graphics.

It is just a markup language. We cannot call it a programming language because it cannot design dynamic web pages. Through this we can create only static web pages.

Advantages of HTML Text

1- It is a simple language which is easy for any user to learn.

2- This language is easy to use.

3- HTML is easy to edit and modify.

4- This language supports almost every type of browser.

5- To use this language the user does not need to buy software.

6- This language helps in increasing the ranking of the website. Because by using it we can improve the SEO (Search Engine Optimization) of the website.

7- It is a user friendly language.

Disadvantages of HTML Text

1- Cannot create dynamic web pages in HTML.

2- It is quite difficult to understand the structure of this language.

3- It is very difficult to maintain it.

4- To create a simple page, the user has to write a lot of code.

5- This language is not good regarding security matters. Hackers can easily hack HTML.
