1 Monitor

It is an electronic device that shows some output for computers. It looks exactly like a T.V. A big and good display resolution helps us to show fine graphics. It produces video and graphics using hardware, video card. Just like the TV is hung on the wall, similarly the monitor is kept on the desk. It is used to view Video, Image, Document, App in computer. If there is no monitor then what is going on inside the computer. We do not know where to click.

Monitor also has some other names

Sometimes monitors are also known by these names screen, display, video display, video display terminal, video display unit and video screen. Sometimes they are also called computers due to lack of knowledge. The reality is this. This monitor is also one of the remaining hardware of computers. Facts about Monitor

Monitor is connected to HDMI, DVI, and VGA port. Other connectors are USB, Display Port, and Thunderbolt. There are two types of this

1 CRT Monitor:
They are heavy and big and use up a lot of desk space and electricity. This is the oldest used technology. It is based on cathode ray tube technology. Which were made for television. But these monitors do not work nowadays.

2 LCD Monitor:
There is a type of flat panel display. This is a newer technology than CRT. These monitors use less desk space. It is of less weight. These monitors use less electricity. These monitors are being used for a long time. On laptops and notebook computers, they also act as touchscreens. On tablet computers, mobile phones.

According to the use of technology, there are many types of printers. Whose information has already been given below.

Daisy-wheel

It is similar to a ball-head typewriter. This type of printer has a wheel made of plastic or metal. on which the characters remain. Pressed against a twisted ribbon. On which a character remains. When this pressure falls on the white paper then a character is formed. You can print very clean characters with this printer but graphics ones cannot.

Dot-matrix

In this, the character is formed after striking the pins against the ink ribbon. When the pin hits the paper once, then a dot is formed there and a character is formed by the union of many dots.
Ink-jet: Ink is sprayed on a plain paper which is drawn on high quality text and graphics paper.

Laser Printer

The technology used in the xerox machine is also in this technology. You can also print very high quality text and graphics from Laser Printers.

Line Printer

In this there are many Pins or Characters in a single line. Which takes very less time to print a Sentence. Despite being very fast, this printer prints low quality content.

Thermal Printer

It has Thermal in its name. Meaning heat sensitive paper is used in this. Heat Pins are pushed into Heat Sensitive Paper. It is used in Calculators and Fax Machine.

Characteristics of the printer

Quality:
The letters of the output which are printed from the printers. They have been divided into these 3 Qualities. We can call them Letter quality, near letter quality or Draft quality. Letter quality printer’s names are daisy-wheel, ink-jet, and laser printers.

Speed:
Talking about the speed of printers, their measurement is shown by characters per second (cps). The higher the CPS, the better the printer. The name of the slowest printer is Daisy-wheel whose speed is 30 cps. Line printers speed is one of the fastest printers whose speed is 3000 cps. Dot-matrix printers 500 cps and laser printers produce 4 to 20 text pages in a minute.

Impact or non-impact:
Printers that strike ink ribbons come in the category of Impact printers. Daisy-wheel, dot-matrix, and line printers all fall under the category of ‘impact printers’. Their names are laser printers and ink-jet printers, both of which fall under the category of non-impact printers. There is only one difference between impact and non-impact printer’s, impact printer’s make excessive noise.

Graphics:
Some printers like daisy-wheel and line printers can print only text. The rest can print both Text and Graphics Images.

Fonts:
Dot-matrix printers have fonts of some counting minutes. If we talk about laser and ink-jet printers in which there are countless fonts. Daisy-wheel printers also have a number of selected printers.

3 Plotter

Plotter is used to obtain high quality drawings and graphs on large paper. It is mainly used in engineering, building construction, city planning, map etc.

There is an AC Output Device that draws pictures according to the commands given by the computers. There is a lot of difference between Plotter and Printers, in which Pen is used to draw something. Multicolor Plotters Pens of different colors are used.

If it is a matter of money, then this device is much more expensive than printers. They are used in Engineering Application.

4 Screen Projector

Projector is also an output device. With its use, all the motion methods of the computer’s screen are shown on the big screen. Using this we can show presentations.

The output of this device can be displayed on a wall or on a white screen. Generally, the surface on which the light is projected should be large, straight and of white color in surface size. Projectors are used to play moving images, slideshows and videos. Presentation can be shown to a large number of people. The size of this device is also small and the weight is also less.

Where is the projector used

• PowerPoint presentation to business meeting. Project is done in.
• Projector is used to explain the children in class.
• To play multimedia (movies) in TV and computer on the big screen through Projector.
• In Public Places, it is used to explain any goods or services to the people.
• To display different types of pictures on an empty wall, which can change the look.
• HDMI or VGA cables are used to connect projectors to computers.

5 Speaker

Using this we can hear sound. It presents a soft copy of the output in the form of sound. The language of computers is the speaker. It is an output and hardware device. Which generates sound from computers. The sound that is produced by Computer Speakers is generated by a component of the computer whose name is the sound card. Speaker already resides in LAPTOP at the top end of the keyboard.

How does it work

Speakers – are made from a cone, an iron coil, a magnet, and a housing (case). When the speaker receives electrical input from a device, it causes it to move back and forth. A vibration is created and due to this vibration, the sound comes out. You can hear this voice with your own ears.

The quality of sounds is determined by a frequency response, Total Harmonic Distortion and Watts.
