Open an e-mail account in Outlook Express
Outlook is an email program that comes with the window operating system. You can send and receive email by opening your account with Outlook Express.
Follow these steps to open your email account:
1 Click Start to display the Start menu.
2 To see a list of programs on your computer, click All Programs.
3 Click on Outlook Express. The Outlook window will open. If you are not currently connected to the Internet, a dialog box will appear which will connect you to the Internet.
4 Click Tools to open the Tools menu.
5 Click Account in the Tools menu. The Internet Account dialog box will appear.
6 Click on the Mail tab.
7 Click on Add button. A pop up Manju will be seen.
8 If your mail account is not configured
9 Type your name in the Display name text box. This name will be seen in the form fild of accountgoing mail.
10 Click the Next button to continue.
11 Type your email address in the email address text book.
12 Click the Next button to continue.
13 Select your mail server by clicking the down-arrow button.
14 In the Incoming and outgoing mail service text box, type the address of the incoming and outgoing mail server. – If you do not know about your mail server, contact your mail provider.
15 Click the Next button to continue.
16 Type the account name and password given by your server provider. – The password you have typed () will appear in the bullet.
17 Click the Next button to continue. – Your mail account is configured.
18 Click on the Finish button. Internet account dialog box will come to town.
19 click pop.gmail.com.
20 Click on Properties.
21 Click on the Advanced tab.
22 Click the check box for This server requests a secure connection.
23 Enter 465 in outgoing mail.
24 Click the check box for This server requests a secure connection. It will change to port 995. The incoming and outgoing mails vary according to the server field version. Make sure that you have entered the information in each field.
25 Click on the Servers tab.
26 Click in the check box for my service requires authentication.
27 Click on Ok. – Your Internet Account dialog box will appear.
28 Click the Close button in the Internet account dialog box.

Reading and exchanging fairs
You can turn on Outlook Express to open and read the contents of your mail.
1 Click Start for the Start menu.
2 To see the list of all programs on your computer, click All Programs.
3 Click Outlook Express. –Outlook Express window appears.
If you are not currently using the Internet, a dialog box will appear which will connect you to the net.
This area shows the folder that contains your message.
The bracket on the side of the folder indicates how many messages are inside. When you read all the messages, the numbers disappear.
1 Click on the folder to read your message. The folder will be highlighted. – It shows the message you have selected in the area folder.
2 Click on the message you want to read.

Send E-mail message
Mail can be sent to Outlook Express for an idea or for any information.
1 Click Create Mail to send a new message. –new message window will appear.
2 To: In the section, type the email address of the person to whom you want to send the message.
3 If you want to send a copy of this message to a person who is not directly attached to it but he also has interest in it, then there is also a Cc option in the email address.
4 Click in the subject area of ??the subject and type the subject of the message.
5 Click the Message box and then type the message.
6 Click the send button to send the message. Outlook express sends the message and keeps a copy of it in cent items.
Attach a file to a E-mail Message
You can also add any file with your message while sending it. It is beneficial to associate the file with the message when you want to send additional information along with the message.
1 To create a message, repeat steps 1 to 5 of the previous page.
2 Click on Attach to associate the file with the message. The Insert attechment dialog box appears. This area shows the location of the files to be shown. You can click on this area to change the location.
3 Click on the name of the file you want to add.
4 Click Attach to attach the file with the message. This area shows the name and size of the selected file. Repeat steps 2 to 4 to add more files to the message.
5 Click send to send the message. Outlook Express sends the message along with the file to the email address you specify.
Print the E-mail message
You can print your message with the help of a printer.
1 Click on the message you want to print. The message will start to be highlighted.
3 Click the print button to print the message. The Print dialog box appears.
3 Select your printer.
4 Click the print button to print the entire message.
Delete E-mail message
You can delete the message you do not need.
1 Click on the message you want to delete. The message will be highlighted.
2 Click the delete button to delete the message.
Outlook Express removes the message from the current folder and puts the message in the Deleted Items folder.
Deleting a message from the related items folder deletes it forever.
How to use the address book
The address book can be used to call the emails of people to whom you usually send messages. By this, you can avoid mistakes while typing the email address if you select the name from the address book.
1 Click on Addresses to display the address book. Address book window will come to town. This area shows the name and email address of every person in your address book.
2 Click New to add a name to the address book. Manu will pop up.
3 Click on New Contact. The Properties dialog box will appear.
4 Type the first name of the person you want to add to the address book.
5 Click this area and then type the middle name of the man.
6 Click this area and type the last name of the man.
7 Click this area and type its email address.
8 Click Ok to add the man’s name to the address book. I will see the name and email address of the man, address book. The name of the man will also appear in the Contact list.
9 Click the Close button (X) to close the address book.
Use of signature in E-mail message
You can also add personal information at the end of each message. This information is called signature.
1 Click on Tools. Tolls menu will appear.
2 Click on the Tools menu. The Options dialog box will appear.
3 Click on the Signature tab.
4 Click on New to create a signature.
5 Click on this area and type the text that comes in your signature.
6 To add your signature to each outgoing message, click on the checkbox in this option.
7 In this option, click on the check mark in the check box to add your signature to it while forwarding the mail.
8 Click Ok to confirm the changes made.
