Central processing unit (CPU)

CPU (CPU): – Central processing unit (CPU) is known as the brain of the computer that controls every function of the computer CPU consist of mathematical and logical unit, control unit and central memory. Manipulation of signals, numbers and letters takes place on the CPU itself. It also controls other parts of the computer such that all the important decisions in the human body are taken by the brain and other parts of the body according to the instructions given by the mind. Do work.

In the same way all calculations and comparisons are inside the CPU in a computer system

CPU Parts

1. Mathematical and logical unit

This unit is responsible for performing all mathematical and logical tasks on the basis of the data selected from memory such as addition, subtraction, fold, division etc. mathematical functions and comparison of two numbers such as aditya decreasing etc.
ALU performs the following functions
All types of calculation work are done in this unit.
All comparative work is done in this unit
ALU receives data from main memory and performs calculations and comparison functions on it.
The half-created results generated in the ALU are sent to the memory in main memory and sent back to the ALU if needed.
After processing, the output is sent to main memory which is then printed or displayed to the user through the output unit

2. Control Unit: –

The next component to the CPU is the control unit which inspects the work done to determine whether it has been done properly or not and determines the range or order under which the computer produces programs and instruction functions such as That processing programs stored in main memory, rendering signals and issuing signals to other parts of the computer to perform tasks when multiple users use the computer at the same time
It then acts like a switch board operator by which it coordinates the activities of the computer so that it performs the input and output hence it is called the manager of all the tasks given by the PC (personal computer).

3. Memory Unit: –

The process of permanently saving data and instructions is known as storage. Data is inserted into the system before starting the actual processing because the CPO is so fast that the data CPU at the same speed Is provided so the data is stored in the first storage unit for faster access and processing.
This storage unit or primary storage of a computer system is designed to perform the above tasks. It provides space for storing data and instructions.
The storage unit performs the following main functions
(A) All types of data and instructions are stored here before and after processing.
(B) Incomplete results of processing are also stored here

Input Unit: –

This unit is responsible for handling all the inputs of the computer. Input devices take the user data in human readable form and convert it into incremental language and install it in memory.The input device includes keyboard, mouse, joystick and optical character reader. The input unit receives the data in a systematic manner from us for processing in the computer.

Output Unit: –

This unit is responsible for presenting the output to the user of the computer. It works opposite to the input unit. It sends the information received from the memory to the user. It connects the computer to the external environment such as computer code of binary code. When worked together, it also gives its greetings in the venereal court, these results are converted into a culture form of man, the output interface in the output unit performs this task.
The output devices used for this are monitors, printers, plotter etc.
