Keyboard is the most important part of the computer, if there was no keyboard today, then this article might not have been typed, then you might have understood its importance-

Know your computer keyboard

Keyboard is a typewriter-like device in which buttons are given to enter information in the computer, which we call keys.

Typewriter Keys:- Typewriters

This is the main part of the keyboard, it is mainly used for typing work, with these keys we can type in any language, for this only we have to change the font in the computer.

Function Keys :-

At the top of the typewriter key, there is a line from F-1 to F-12 numbers. While working on any software, they are used in different ways according to the list given in the same software.

Cursor control keys: –

The cursor of the computer is controlled by these keys, by this you can easily move the cursor up, down, left, right, it is displayed on the keyboard with the arrow mark.

Some more cursor control keys are also present on the keyboard just above the arrow keys. It is as follows-

Page Up Keys :-

These are used to go to the previous page of the document.

Page Down Keys:-

These are used to go to the next page.

Home Key:-

It is used to bring the cursor to the beginning of the line.

End Key:- End Key

This key moves the cursor to the end of the line.

Numeric Key Pad:- numeric keypad

On the right side of the keyboard, there is a numeric keypad which has the same keys as the calculator. Some of these keys do two things. The Nam Lok key is used to interchange the two functions of the numeric keys. For example – the key containing the number 7 only works as the Home key. When the moist world is off. When there is pride of the moist world. So the keys marked 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 act as numeric keys. On pressing any of these a number appears on the screen.

Caps Lock Key :- Caps Lock

Normally the letter is typed in lower case only. If you press the Caps Lock key once, the character to be typed is typed in upper case. To type it back in lower case, press Caps Lock again.

Shift Keys :-

By pressing this, if you press any letter key, it will be typed in upper case letter only. This action will be reversed if the caps is in the LOCK ON position. When two symbols or characters are made on one key, then by pressing the shift key, the upper symbol will appear on the screen.

Control and Alt keys: –

The Control and Alt keys are often used in conjunction with other keys to perform a specific task. For example, you return to the dose prompt by pressing Control and C together. The machine restarts itself by pressing the Control Alt and Delete keys simultaneously.

EnterReturn :- Enter Return keys

Enter key is also called return key. It is mainly used for two functions. First, it informs the PC that you have stopped giving instructions. So process or execute the instructions given there. While using another Microsoft Word program, pressing the Enter key starts a new paragraph or line.

Tab Key :- Tab

It moves the cursor to a predefined position. With this you can start a paragraph and write columns, text or numbers in a straight line. In some software, it helps to move from one option to another in the menu.

Delete key :- Delete

You can delete the character or space written to the right of the cursor by pressing it.

Backspace Key :- Back Space

By pressing this you can delete the character written to the left of the cursor. In doing so, the cursor returns to the left, erasing the last typed character.
