Hello friends, as you know that on 29 August 1947, a committee was formed in the Constituent Assembly to draft the constitution, in the first meeting of the drafting committee, Dr. BR Ambedkar was unanimously elected as the chairman of the committee.

Constitution Day is celebrated every year on 26 November. It is also known as Constitution Day or National Law Day. This day is celebrated to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution. Constitution Day background

Constitution Day was declared in 2015. This was done to mark the 125th birth anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar. This announcement was made by PM Modi, when he laid the foundation stone of the Statue of Equality in Mumbai.
Constitution Day is celebrated to pay tribute to Dr. Ambedkar, who drafted the Indian Constitution. He is also called the father of the Indian Constitution.

Why is Constitution Day celebrated as National Law Day?

It is celebrated to assess the law and justice in the country. It helps in strengthening the judiciary system in the country. The day celebrates the freedom of the legal profession. For these reasons, Constitution Day is celebrated as National Law Day.
National Law Day was not celebrated until 1979. Dr. LM The Supreme Court Bar Association led by Singhvi had proposed to celebrate 26 November as National Law Day.
